(More customer reviews)We've had this for about a year. It looks like metal but the housing is plastic. The cord holder broke off first. Now the knob that controls the griddle has broken off and the temperature can no longer be controlled. It really doesn't heat up all the way any more. The "grill" worked for panini but not very well for meat (burgers and such). Really not worth the money.
